Poker Deposit Methods – E-Wallets

An E-Wallet is an online payment processor that you can link directly to your bank account, or use a credit card to fund. It’s kind of like an online bank really. Common e-wallets are Moneybookers, Eco Card, eWalletXpress, Click2Pay, NETeller, ClickandBuy and UseMyWallet. To make a deposit with an e-wallet, select the e-wallet from the deposit options menu, enter your e-wallet username and the amount to be deposited. You’ll be transferred to your e-wallet account to login and confirm the payment. The funds are instantly available for use in your online poker account.

This poker deposit method allows you to transfer money directly from your bank account to your online poker account. You must enter the details of your bank account and the bank’s routing number, then input the amount of the deposit. The cash may or may not be available for instant use, depending on the online poker room. Some will verify that the funds are available and make them immediately available to you, even though the poker room has not received them yet.

Poker Deposit Methods – Cash Transfers

Cash transfer agents, such as Western Union or MoneyGram, are a good way to fund an online poker account if you do not wish to process your funds over the internet. You’ll first gather the info needed from the poker site to facilitate the cash transfer, then visit a cash transfer agency to make the deposit. Next, return to the poker site, choose the cash transfer method and fill in the transaction ID, date/time of transfer and amount. The poker site will verify the transfer and make the funds available. This can take anywhere from 10 minutes to a few hours, depending on the quality of the poker room’s accounting support service.

Poker Deposit Methods – Instant E-Checks

This is a real check written online, just like a paper check. You fill in the same information found on a paper check, like the routing number, your account number, amount of payment, etc. Also like a paper check, it can take a few days for the funds to leave your checking account, but instant e-checks are automatically verified by the poker site for instant use, even though they have not received the money yet.
