Sam Trickett from Titan Poker Wins €1 Million Partouche Poker Championship

Sam Trickett has emerged as the champion of the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event and has collected a grand prize of €1 million or $1,365,680. This makes the Titan Poker sponsored pro’s live poker tournament winnings a total of around $6.5 million, which puts him in the top position with Dave Ulliott and Roland de Wolfe following close behind. While Ulliott’s total live poker tournament winnings equal $6,005,899, Roland de Wolfe’s total winnings are $5,330,556.

Trickett, aged 25, hails from Notthinghamshire and made his first cash at a live poker tournament recently in 2007, but he has achieved tremendous poker success ever since. In 2008, he collected a grand prize of $497,472; in 2009, he earned $94,894; and in 2010, he won a prize of $1,071,356. His total winnings so far this year are $4,694,580.

In fact, Trickett had started working for his €1 million in September when he was one of the 570 players who entered the Main Event at the Casino Palm Beach held in Cannes in France. It had a buy-in of €8,500. The tournament, which was stopped when there were nine players left standing, re-commenced in November. Trickett was definitely in the lead and ended up as one of the four players left standing. Eventually, he got into a heads-up against US poker pro Salman Behbehani, who finished second winning a cool prize of €600,000 while Trickett finished first and won the top prize of €1,000,000.

The winners and the payouts are as follows: Samuel Trickett finished first and won €1,000,000, Salman Behbehani finished second and won €600,000, Oleksil Kovalchuk finished third and won €379,760, Ilan Boujenah finished fourth and won €300,000, Roger Hairabedian finished fifth and won €230,000, Alexander Dovzhenko finished sixth and won €190,000, Mustapha Kanit finished seventh and won €160,000, Alexandre Coussy finished eighth and won €130,000, and Mads Wissing finished ninth and won €100,000

Trickett has several poker achievements to his credit. He was selected as the Best Cash Player at the British Poker Awards in September. In January, he won the Aussie Millions $100k Challenge 2011 event and finished second in the Super High Roller $250k Aussie Millions event.
