Poker Pro Sam Trickett Parts Ways with Titan Poker

One of Sam Trickett’s tweets on Twitter clearly states that he has parted ways with Titan Poker. On May 3, he tweeted, “Me and Titan have decided to part ways. I have enjoyed representing them and they were an absolute pleasure to work. Thanks again Titan…”

Sam Trickett, a professional poker player who enjoys playing high stakes poker and is a great fan of Manchester United, recently won an incredibly large sum of USD2 million at the high stakes tables of Macau. It turned out to be the largest prize he has won playing poker so far.

Trickett, who began his eventful poker career playing small stakes poker, has evolved to become one of the world’s most daring high stakes poker players. He has been playing high stakes poker at Macau for the past one year and has earned quite a reputation as an aggressive player. Regarding his reputation at the high stakes tables at Macau, he told Card Player that a player who does not play loose and aggressive poker is simply not asked to play.

Regarding his big win, Trickett says, “It’s actually not the biggest pot I have played. I have lost a few pots bigger than that where I took some nasty beats, but it was certainly amazing o win my first big pot.”

Last year, Sam Trickett and Marvin Rettenmaier were brand ambassadors for Titan Poker, and this contract was valid till 2011. They had renewed their contracts in March 2010.

The present year has been Trickett’s best. He won the Aussie Millions $100k Challenge and finished second in the $250k Super High Roller Event. His total poker earnings for the year 2011 were around $2.9 million. Trickett has been recognized at the European Poker Awards too, where the title of Player of the Year 2011 was conferred on him. He had contested for that title against well-known poker names such as Pius Heinz, the world poker champion, Andrey Pateychuk, Eugene Katchalov, Jake Cody, and Bertrand Elky Grospellier.

As soon as poker enthusiasts read Trickett’s announcement on Twitter, they immediately deduced that he must be on the verge of joining another major online poker room. Trickett had not concealed the fact that he had spent the entire night celebrating, not because he left Titan Poker, but because he was on the way to something bigger. In fact, Titan Poker and Trickett parted on good terms.

There are reasons to believe that Trickett will be sponsored by PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker room. However, 888 Poker and Betfair Poker have also expressed interest in sponsoring Trickett.

Sam Trickett’s fans are sure that wherever he goes, he will make plenty of money. In fact, many poker players are of the opinion that Trickett does not really need a sponsor. If he continues playing high stakes poker at Macau, he will be a poker multi billionaire in no time. He has already obtained the reputation of being one of the best players in online as well as live poker.
