Ukash Gets Best Prepaid Marketing Campaign For Teaming Up with PokerStars

Ukash grabbed the coveted award for the best Prepaid Marketing Campaign for its prepaid card, which was launched in 2010. The award attracting marketing campaign was used to target Canadian poker players and issuers alike with the uses of the card. The campaign succeeded in racing ahead in the Canadian prepaid market and achieved significant growth in the prepaid sector.

Ukash and its partners joined hands with a London based marketing team to come up with a campaign. The marketing team worked alongside Ukash partners, UseMyCard, now PrePay and Ezipin to release a multi-channel marketing campaign across Canada aimed to increase the company’s awareness. The vigorous campaign was telecasted in December 2011 and ran until the end of January 2012. The primary idea of the campaign was to promote the Ultimate Ukash Experience to current and prospective Ukash Canadian customers.

Ukash entered into an agreement with the online poker room king – PokerStars to increase its visibility among poker players. The deal offered Canadian poker players a unique opportunity to attend the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) at Bahamas, by redeeming Ukash vouchers, for an opportunity to entire the draw. Ukash announced the winner of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) lucky draw recently. David Bernstein was among the many contestants that entered the lucky draw and was randomly selected as the winner of the seat at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. The hot seat is valued at USD $10,300. Bernstein entered the tournament and took home a further CAD $260,000.
