PokerStars Releases WCOOP 2012 Schedule
The largest live poker event, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2012, has drawn to a close at least for the present, and the little that is left of it, the October Nine event, will be held in October. Poker players can now transfer their attention to the largest online poker event in the online poker calendar, run by the largest online poker room in the world—the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) 2012. PokerStars released the schedule for the WCOOP 2012, which is one of the most waited-for online poker events, recently.
The schedule for WCOOP 2012 is almost the same as that of WCOOP 2011. The event will begin on September 2, Sunday, and three online poker tournaments will be held on that day—the $215 NL Hold’em 6-Max Tournament, the $10,300 NL Hold’em High Roller Tournament, and the $215 NL Hold’em Tournament.
WCOOP 2012 will comprise a total of 62 online poker tournaments. The grand finale will be the $5,200 NL Hold’em Main Event with a guaranteed prize of $1 million for the champion. Last year, Thomas Pedersen became the champion of WCOOP 2012 Main Event, beating a player field of 1,600 to win the grand prize of $1,260,018.50.
Each event will have a guaranteed prize pool although PokerStars has not yet revealed the finer details. Here is a list of the some of the important events in the WCOOP 2012 Schedule.
The first Omaha event of WCOOP 2012, the $320 Pot Limit Omaha Tournament, will be held at 11:00 on September 3, and it will be the fourth WCOOP event. The Draw event will be the seventh event, a $215 Pot Limit Draw Tournament, which will be held at 11:00 on September 4. The eighth event will be the $215 Triple Stud Tournament, which will be held at 14:00 on September 4.
The fifteenth event will be the $215 Razz Tournament, which will be held at 14:00 on September 6. The seventeenth event will be the $215 No Limit Single Draw 2-7 Tournament, which will be held at 14:00 on September 7. The twenty-fourth event will be the $320 Seven Card Stud Tournament, which will be held at 14:00 on September 10. The twenty-seventh event will be the $320 Fixed Limit Badugi Tournament, which will be held at 14:00 on September 11. The thirty-first event will be the $320 8-Game, which will be held at 14:00 on September 12. The thirty-fourth event will be the $320 Triple Draw 2-7 Tournament, which will be held at 14:00 on September 13. WCOOP 2012 also includes the $320 HORSE Tournament, which is scheduled for 14:00 on September 15.
