PokerStars To Launch Rush Poker Games?

A recent news report revealed that PokerStars, one of the most reputed poker sites on the internet may be on the verge of developing some fast paced poker games better known to the industry as Rush Poker.

Dale Philip, a professional poker player who uses the handle “Daleroxxu” when he plays at the PokerStars site also confirmed this information in a tweet which stated that PokerStars was in the process of a “fast moving ring game product.” It is estimated that this new fats paced poker game product will be launched for beta testing some time soon.

Rush Poker was a type of poker offering that first became popular with the poker playing community in the US, when it was featured at the once popular poker site – Full Tilt Poker. This game feature was very popular with both new poker players and professionals at the Full Tilt Poker, but eventually disappeared with the site when the FBI shut it down on Black Friday.

This has created a fairly big market for poker games in the style of Rush Poker, and should PokerStars create a poker game product to cater to this market, it will probably do very well.

As of now, PokerStars has not released any information about the new game, in regarding to its content, design or features but the rumour going around in the poker community is that a Rush Poker style game created by PokerStars is sure to be far more than the usual quick turbo ring poker games.

The first Rush Poker game was created by Jerry W. Biesel and Robert S. Burnside in the year 2007 for Hold´em One and was featured only at the Full Tilt Poker site. Now that the Full Tilt Poker has become a has-been name in the business, it leaves the field wide open for other poker sites to step in and fill the gap. Once PokerStars releases its Rush Poker games, the biggest competition it would receive would be if Full Tilt Poker comes back into the industry – which does not seem at all likely.

Poker players looking for Rush Poker games will be happy to note that there are fast paced ring games available at Terminal Poker that are compatible with Mac, Windows and Flash. Although PokerStars did not launch a rush poker game, when it was a contemporary of Full Tilt Poker and was catering to the US poker playing market along with other sites like Absolute Poker, it did not opt to introduce rush poker games at that time.

When the Full Tilt Poker site released its Rush Poker games, PokerStars announced that it had been considering a rush poker option or a similar product but did not want to launch it at the same time at the FTP site, as they felt that such a move would not be in their best interests.

However, the recent developments and the mess that the Full Tilt Poker site is in, may just be the added boost that PokerStars needs to take this forward.
