Poker Players Win $4 Million in PokerStars MicroMillions

PokerStars, the largest online poker room in the world, is just half-way through one of its most lucrative online poker promotions The PokerStars MicroMillions, but it has already given away around $4 million in prizes. PokerStars launched the MicroMillions for the second time as its low buy-ins had made it very popular among players.

Andre Coimbra, a member of Team PokerStars, is one of the biggest fans of the MicroMillions. He has vowed that he will take part in all its 100 events and has already won cash prizes 11 times.

Online poker players from Germany and Russia have performed very well, although players from the UK do not lag far behind. One of the UK poker players at PokerStars cittadipace won the first MicroMillions event, which had a buy-in of $0.11. He collected a cool cash prize of $7,332.37. Besides, British player Toria06 won the top prize in the fifth MicroMillions event.

A Russian player, who also won the third MicroMillion event, turned to be the winner of the largest cash prize. He was playing the $3.30 NL Hold’em Rebuy Tournament when he won the top cash prize of $18,566.47 after defeating 13,757 opponents.

Beckersen81 was the first German player to win a cash prize. He was taking part in the sixth MiroMillion event, which happened to be an NL Hold’em Rebuy Tournament with a player field of 6,588 players. When the match became a heads-up, he made a deal, according to which he got a prize of $7,000.

The highlight of PokerStars MicroMillions was the Sunday Storm Special Edition, an event with a guaranteed prize of $300k. The prize pool, however, swelled to $365,230 because of the huge player pool of 36,523 players. When the match became a heads up, @rtemur, the Russian player, won a cool prize of $31,376.06 after making a deal with his opponent.

The first MicroMillions Omaha tournament was its ninth event, a PL Omaha Tournament with a buy-in of $8.80 and a player field of 3,492 players. When only three players were left standing, a deal was struck, as a result of which Chinese player ViTaMin_F22 carried home the grand prize of $3,896.32.

A player from Finland won the twenty-third event, the first Finnish win of MicroMillions. The event was a $1 NL Hold’em Rebuy Tournament with a player field of 29,538. The Finnish player made a deal with his three opponents when only four of them were left at the table and won a cash prize of $16,200 for finishing first.

The performance of players from Russia, UK, Germany, and Netherlands was excellent, although players from the other parts of the world such as Croatia, Canada, Australia, and others also won cash prizes. The online poker gaming community at PokerStars is now looking forward to the grand finale of The PokerStars MicroMillions, its Main Event, which has a buy-in of $22. This event is scheduled to be held at 2:30 p.m. ET on July 22, and the champion will win a large cash prize of no less than $150k.
