Unfortunately, the US federal government claimed that online poker gambling is illegal, and eventually, it cracked down on offshore online poker companies that accepted US players.

Ultimate Poker is licensed and regulated in Nevada, and according to Nevada gambling regulations, the poker site can only accept players located within the borders of Nevada.
