Scott Seiver Wins Party Poker Premier League V

Scott Seiver, a strong online pokier player on the Party Poker site, recently made the news when he won the Premier League V hosted by Party Poker. His win revealed his skills and technique and left the other poker players at the table in no doubt of his skill. Seiver walked away with as much as $500,000 in prize money for taking in the first place position at the Party Poker Premier League V which took place in Vienna.

The Party Poker Premier League V was held in the Montesino Casino and saw several poker players compete for the big prize. Scott Seiver did not take the chip lead in the start and slowly began to work his way to the top of the leaderboard as the days progressed. Some of the poker players that he was up against included the likes of Matt Frankland, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Daniel Cates, Tony G, Phil Laak and Sam Trickett.

The Party Poker Premier League V features a final game of 8 poker hands and had a guaranteed minimum prize of $55,000. The initial portion of the Main event saw many top poker players sit down to fight it out at the green poker table. Matt Frankland was in the lead and had 400,000 chips to his name, and many thought he would take the title. Another player who was close behind, tailing on the heels of Frankland was none other than Daniel Cates who had 380,000 worth of chips. Lagging behind were Sam Trickett with 330K and Patrik Antonius with 320K.

Scott Seiver only had 300,000 to his name and was in the sixth place but somehow managed to win the Premier League trophy and an additional 200K before the day was out.

Scott Seiver is an American poker professional player who has won a decent number of big league titles such as a WSOP bracelet and an LA Poker Classic event. He has also placed in the money many times at the WSOP and won a title at the WPT World Championships at the Bellagio last year, where he took home $1.6 million.

The first player to fall out of the running was Sam Trickett who went up against a hand of aces held by Patrik Antonius and lost a big portion of his chips, while Daniel Cates dealt him the final blow by pitting his kings against Trickett’s pocket sevens.

Mathew Frankland dropped out soon after that when Daniel Cates once again played the undertaker to Frankland’s stack of chips and called. After Frankland busted out, Tom “durrrr” Dwan was the next to go when he proved that he was no longer up to the challenge and went all in but got called on it by Seiver and ended up losing. He also lost to Tony G, who in turn got unlucky when Cates turned his eye upon him.

Antonius then went up against Phil “Unabomber” Laak and fell out, but was soon followed by Laak himself. The game ended with strong competition between Cates and Seiver; it saw Seiver take the lead when he called out Cates’ pocket 7s.
