Ongame Poker Network Launches High Speed Strobe Poker

Ongame Poker Network has become the latest network to launch its own version of high-speed poker. Called Strobe Poker, the variant was launched on all 20 Ongame poker skins, including prominent poker rooms such as Goalwin Poker, Bettson Poker, and Betsafe Poker.

Strobe Poker tables are available at $0.05/$0.10 and $0.15/$0.30 limits, and both varieties have attracted huge player fields, clearly proving that the new variant has attracted a lot of attention. Ongame is expected to offer high-stakes Strobe Poker tables at the earliest possible. On the downside, however, Ongame has not rolled out any free play Strobe Poker tables.

According to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on Strobe Poker at RedKings Poker, although players are free to enter a player pool multiple times, Ongame has limited it to two entries per player.

Strobe Poker, like all other variants of high-speed poker or fast-fold poker, allows players to fold their hands and immediately move to another table, where they will be dealt a fresh hand. This eliminates the need for players to wait for tables, and the game moves at breakneck speed. One of the most unique features of Strobe Poker is the availability of five-handed tables.

Full Tilt Poker was the first online poker operator to launch a high-speed version of online poker. Called Rush Poker, it became so popular that online poker players missed it sorely when Full Tilt Poker fell into bad days after Black Friday. Since Full Tilt Poker had not patented the product, PokerStars filled the void by developing and launching its own variant of high-speed poker called Zoom Poker. Later iPoker, Microgaming, and Party Gaming launched Speed Poker, Blaze Poker, and Fast Forward Poker, respectively.

Redbet Poker and Whitebet Poker, two major online poker rooms on the Ongame Network, have sent a promotional email to their online poker players, informing them of a Strobe Challenge, which will be kicked off the following week. Players will be challenged to grab the top position on a Strobe Poker leader board and collect their share of a massive prize pool of $12,500.

Ongame Network is back into the US market after six-and-a-half years. In other words, Ongame software powers AcePLAY Poker, a free play online poker room launched by American Casino and Entertainment Properties (ACEP), the parent company of the elegant Las Vegas based Stratosphere. ACEP has also received an online poker license in Nevada.

Although players cannot win real money playing poker at AcePLAY, they can win exclusive invitations to Stratosphere events, free tickets to live tournaments and live shows, and many other attractive non-cash prizes. AcePlay Poker is compatible with both Mac and Windows, and Ongame plans to launch a mobile gaming software platform soon.

Speaking about AcePLAY Poker, Alec Driscoll of ACEP said: “With the launch of this free to play website, we can now bring the excitement of play found at our properties to anyone with Internet access, no matter their location. We are also positioning ACEP and acePLAYpoker.com for the potential approval of legalized online gaming.”
