Full Tilt Poker Lawyers Want to Step Down From Case

A week ago, news reports portrayed Jeff Ifrah as the face and front of Full Tilt Poker when he decided to shed some light on the happenings of FTP on TwoPlusTwo forum while acting as the site’s attorney. However, the attorney received such a negative response from the public that he had decided to step down from the case along with fellow attorney David Deitch.

According to Jeff Ifrah’s discussions with US players on the TwoPlusTwo forum, Full Tilt Poker is still looking for investors and there is no real update regarding the player funds. While most of the information was confidential, Jeff Ifrah tried to provide some answers on this forum. After all the problems faced by Full Tilt Poker, rejecting a potential investor is something that would not be considered good under the circumstances, but that is what the recent rumour regarding this company exactly states.

Jeff Ifrah cleared the air regarding this rumour and stated that Full Tilt Poker has set its focus on returning players their funds and hence they have made that clear to any investor that has approached them. And he mentioned that potential investors have been informed that only then a possible deal will be made. Jeff Ifrah also said that it will be extremely difficult for the company to return the funds without the help of an investor. Hence, no deal has been made as of now.

As of now, Ray Bitar is still the CEO of Full Tilt Poker. However, once Full Tilt Poker finds a buyer then Ray Bitar will be relieved of his duties and a new team will be instated for the management of Full Tilt Poker. The composition of this team according to Jeff Ifrah will be driven by the investor as well as by the regulator.

Many players believe that Full Tilt Poker will never regain its lost glory and hold over internet poker and its players. To this Jeff Ifrah simply stated that the company will do everything in their power to regain the same functional capabilities.

Last week, Jeff Ifrah even apologized on behalf of FTP for not being able to send in a statement from the company as promised, but he also said that the statement that will be send will talk about the efforts the company has put in to gain an investor and the update regarding the same. The hearing regarding the company’s license he mentioned might get postponed or resolved based on the progress they make with any investor. And although he has mentioned this, he stated that this is just based on his best guess since he is not involved in any of those proceedings.

Jeff Ifrah initially tried to save face for Full Tilt Poker but seems to have lost his own good image and had to step down from the case as it was creating bad publicity for his law firm and making it difficult for his career.
