Full Tilt Poker’s Legal Representative Answers Players’ Queries

Jeff Ifrah, the legal representative of Full Tilt Poker, who was hired by Ray Bitar, the CEO of Full Tilt Poker, has made an honest attempt to answer the public’s questions regarding Full Tilt Poker, its negotiations with potential investors, and whether it will refund its poker players.

The online poker community in general and Full Tilt Poker players in particular wanted to know about the relationship between a possible refund of players’ poker deposits and Full Tilt Poker’s chances of finding an investor. Players are worried about Full Tilt Poker’s failure to strike a deal with certain potential European investors, and some of them are afraid that the online poker site might have refused to come to an agreement with potential investors—an agreement that might have helped it refund its players. Rubbishing these rumors, Ifrah said that the top priority of Full Tilt Poker is to refund its poker players and that the online poker service provider has informed potential investors that its players ought to be paid.

Simultaneously, Ifrah admitted that it will be very difficult for Full Tilt Poker to refund its players without the assistance of an investor. He also assured players that Full Tilt Poker will not sign an agreement with any potential investor unless it includes a complete refund plan. Stating that each deal requires that players should be paid, the lawyer said that Full Tilt Poker has not closed any deal as yet, but not because of this requirement.

Regarding the possible involvement of Ray Bitar, Ifrah said that Bitar is still the CEO of Full Tilt Poker and is busy negotiating with various investors, but will resign as soon as a third party purchases Full Tilt Poker after which a new management team will be appointed.

Responding to skeptical players who cannot believe that Full Tilt Poker will ever regain its previous glory, Ifrah said that the company is doing everything within its power to get back into business once again.

Ifrah has also mentioned that Full Tilt Poker will soon issue a number of official press statements, the first of which will be published this week with the others following close behind. In fact, Ifrah had decided to address player queries on Two Plus Two simply because Full Tilt Poker had failed to issue the promised press releases.

Admitting that the company will be able to issue a press statement only during the next week, he said that he had decided to post on Two Plus Two because he felt that players had the right to have their questions answered. He said that Full Tilt Poker will provide information regarding its efforts to negotiate with potential investors and the current status of these negotiations when it finally issues a press statement.

Stating that he is not personally involved with Full Tilt Poker’s hearing with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) on September 15, he said that there is a chance of the license issue getting resolved or delayed depending on Full Tilt Poker’s current status.
