Aggrieved Bwin.party Players Plan To Go On Strike

Bwin.party players have planned a boycott on Nov 1, which happens to be a Friday, in a bid to make known their grievances against the site. This plan was made as a result of a discussion on a Two Plus Two Forum thread that was begun on October 28.

The original poster had suggested that the player strike should be held on October 28, but so many players got interested in the thread and started sharing their grievances that the Nov 1 date was fixed. Those interested in taking part in the boycott are advised to check the thread because the possibilities of the date being changed once again are high.

Players have several complaints against Bwin.party. On the above-mentioned thread, players have complained about the poor customer care service, the fee imposed on withdrawals made through Skrill, the changes made in the VIP program, and the player segregation. When taken one by one, these problems might appear small; but when viewed in a bunch, they look quite formidable. Bwin.party players have been unhappy from the last six months. Besides, the players complaining are not random posters; they are highly respected online poker players who usually play at the high-stakes tables.

Players are especially concerned about Bwin.party’s player segregation technology. Reportedly, it has led to players either purchasing or registering brand new accounts just to acquire the protected status and then getting back into the non-protected category after wrecking the competition there for a couple of days. The player segregation technology could lead players to do this several times, besides finding other ways of gaining entry into the protected category.

A Party Poker representative has announced that the online poker room will provide more explanation regarding the player segregation policy, but players are still skeptical about getting an honest and clear explanation from the site.

The player segregation issue isn’t the only thing that is bothering players at present. Bwin.party recently imposed a fee of 3 percent on all withdrawals made using Skrill. Several players considered this to be unfair as it is aimed at the winners. Since the 3 percent fee is uncapped, Bwin.party is expected to make a lot of money out of it. This fee, along with the player segregation and reduction in VIP rewards, will have an adverse effect on players’ chances of winning pots. As a result, Party Poker players are finding it more difficult than ever to make money at the site.

Besides, Bwin.party’s inability to communicate with its customers has made matters worse. It has forced many players to think that a strike is the only way to bring Bwin.party’s attention to the gravity of the situation. Players also feel that they need to take action in such a manner as the site refuses to answer their questions.

The protest might not be the solution to players’ problems at Bwin.party, but it will definitely create awareness about how players in the protected category can be taken advantage of. This might ultimately force Bwin.party to work out a solution.
