Real Money Poker on Iphone
It is tough enough to successfully play real money poker online on a desktop or a laptop, recently playing poker on iphone’s has become more popular, here is an overview.
Both Absolute poker and Ultimate Bet are iphone compatible. These are the only two well known poker websites that accept US players that are iphone compatible.
If you want to play poker online, for real money, do so on an actual computer. If you are playing online on your iphone, you are probably not at home. It is never a good idea to play poker online outside of your normal surroundings. Obviously you will not be able to concentrate at an acceptable level. If 100 dollars is bet, five of them immediately go directly to the poker website, which means you are already behind the eight ball. You will need to outplay everyone at your table hand after hand. There is no room for error when playing real money poker online, even if you play perfectly there are still plenty of opportunities for you to lose money. Plain and simple: Real money online poker can be rewarding, but it is very difficult, you have no business playing poker on an iphone.
Iphone’s are 4.5 inches tall and 2.4 inches wide, they weigh 4.8 ounces, less than a third of a pound. Do you really want to risk you hard earned money on one of these devices? Iphone’s are great, do not get me wrong, but you are a gambling addict if you feel compelled to play on an Iphone.
The only way that I can play poker online is on my personal computer, in my room, with no one else bothering me and no other distractions. The environment you play in while playing real money poker online means everything. You need to be at the top of your game every hand, if you are out of your usual environment you will not play your game. I hate to see good poker plays shy away from playing their game. If you play tight and only see 20% of flops, do not start bluffing every other hand. There are dozens of different ways to play poker and all of the different ways have their merits, one way you cannot play is on a mobile device such as the Iphone.
There are plenty of free Iphone apps that allow you to play poker online for fun. Playing “for fun” instead of for real money is not quite as fun sometimes, but it is a decent substitute and a much better option in most cases. Two of my favorite Iphone poker apps are Zynga Live Poker and MegaPoker Online. Both allow you to connect to the internet and play real players, not computers. I do have to give Zynga Live Poker the upper hand over MegaPoker Online, the interface is better and there are more players to play against. It is tough to beat a free Iphone.
