Hollywood Poker Open to Arrive Soon at St. Louis
The inaugural edition of the live poker tournament Hollywood Poker Open (HPO) will soon arrive at St. Louis. The HPO, which comprises 28 exciting poker events, will be hosted in Hollywood Casino, based in St. Louis, for 11 days from April 4 to April 14. A large number of professional poker players are expected to take part in HPO events from all over the Midwest region.
The HPO Main Event, which has a buy-in of $1,620, will be held from April 12 to April 15, and the champion of the event will win not only a cash prize, but also a seat worth $2,500 for the $500k Guaranteed HPO Championship, scheduled to be held in the Las Vegas based M Resort from June 28 to June 30.
There is yet another way for ambitious poker players to win HPO Championship seats. They only have to take part in a mega $245 qualifier satellite, which will be held on April 4, and a $350 NL Hold’em tournament, which will be held on April 5. Both events will be run in Hollywood Casino’s poker room.
Poker players intending to take part in the HPO can also looking forward to events such as the $245 Senior’s Event, which is scheduled for April 7, and the $245 PL Omaha 8-or-better Tournament and the $300 NL Hold’em 6-handed tournament, which are scheduled for April 9.
The poker room at Hollywood Casino is gorgeous, featuring 21 tables and plenty of facilities for poker players such as massages worth $1 per minute, a gambling atmosphere free from cigarette smoke, food services by the table, separate cashier services, and coffee/soda stations. The casino will introduce 40 more tables into its poker room for the benefit of players taking part in HPO events.

Interested players can start pre-registering for the event from 2:00 p.m. on April 3 at Sunset Cage.
