Bwin.party Reveals Details about Multi-year Marketing Deal with Sixers and Devils

Norbert Teufelberger, the chief executive officer of Bwin.party Digital Entertainment Plc, and Scott O’Neil, the chief executive officer of the New Jersey Devils, the Philadelphia 76ers, and Prudential Center, spoke at a recently concluded press conference in New Jersey about a multi-year sponsorship deal Party Poker had recently signed with the Sixers and the Devils.

Last week, Bloomberg reported that the Sixers of NBA and the Devils of NHL became the first professional sports teams in the US to sign a multi-year marketing deal with an online gaming company. The owner of the two teams is Joshua Harris. Bloomberg had also reported that a press conference will be held at the Prudential Center on Thursday, at 2:00 p.m. EST, where details about the deal will be revealed.

O’Neil told Bloomberg during a telephonic interview: “This is our flag in the ground that we do things differently. We’re looking for groundbreaking opportunities with companies willing to take chances.”

Ever since it launched in New Jersey late in November, Party Poker has grabbed half of the state’s newly regulated online gambling industry through aggressive marketing methods, such as television commercials and online advertorials. The Party Poker branding will be integrated on a wide range of channels from mobile apps and social networking sites to in-arena signage. Party Poker’s radio and television advertisements will be broadcast during the matches, which will be heavily promoted on Party Poker New Jersey. Besides, the Sixers and the Devils will be granted exclusive Party Poker offers.

Party Poker is known for sponsoring sports teams as part of its marketing strategies. Bwin.party has sponsored some of the best sports teams across Europe, such as Read Madrid and Manchester United.
